バベルの塔展 を見に行った
9月1日金曜日、ボランテイア仲間の長岡さんと大阪中之島大阪国際美術館で開かれている「バベルの塔」展
を見に行った。帰り道で天満市場内の焼肉屋「番長」に立寄り、カンテレの武藤君とも久しぶりに会った。
魚の腹の中に人が呑まれた・・・ そんな話は聖書に書かれているヨナの話から来るのだろう
聖書ではヨナが主の言葉によりニネベの都に向かうその道で主の命に背き、大嵐の海に放たれた。

1さて、主は巨大な魚に命じて、ヨナを呑み込ませられた。ヨナは三日三晩魚の腹の中にいた。2ヨナは魚の腹の中から自分の神、主に祈りをささげて、３言った。
苦難の中で、わたしが叫ぶと
主は答えてくださった。
陰府よみの底から、助けを求めると
わたしの声を聞いてくださった。
4あなたは、わたしを深い海に投げ込まれた。
潮の流れがわたしを巻き込み
波また波が私の上を越えて行く。
5わたしは思った
あなたの御前から追放されたのだと。
生きて再び聖なる神殿を見ることがあろうかと。
6大水がわたしを襲って喉に達する。
深淵に呑み込まれ水草が頭に絡みつく。
7わたしは山々の基まで、地の底まで沈み
地はわたしの上に永久に扉を閉ざす。
しかしわが神よ、主よ
あなたは命を
滅びの穴から引き上げてくださった。
8息絶えようとするとき
わたしは主の御名を唱えた。
わたしの祈りがあなたに届き
聖なる神殿に達した。
9偽りの神々に従う者たちが
忠節を捨て去ろうとも
10わたしは感謝の声をあげ
いけにえをささげて、誓ったことを果たそう。
救いは主にこそある。
11主が命じられると、魚はヨナを陸地に吐き出した。
1 Then Jonah prayed to Yahweh, his God, out of the fish’s belly. 2 He said,
“I called because of my affliction to Yahweh.
He answered me.
Out of the belly of Sheol* Sheol is the place of the
dead. I cried.
You heard my voice.
3 For you threw me into the depths,
in the heart of the seas.
The flood was all around me.
All your waves and your billows passed over me.
4 I said, ‘I have been banished from your sight;
yet I will look again toward your holy temple.’
5 The waters surrounded me,
even to the soul.
The deep was around me.
The weeds were wrapped around my head.
6 I went down to the bottoms of the mountains.
The earth barred me in forever:
yet have you brought up my life from the pit, Yahweh my God.
7 “When my soul fainted within me, I remembered Yahweh.
My prayer came in to you, into your holy temple.
8 Those who regard lying vanities forsake their own mercy.
9 But I will sacrifice to you with the voice of thanksgiving.
I will pay that which I have vowed.
Salvation belongs to Yahweh.”
10 Then Yahweh spoke to the fish, and it vomited out Jonah on the dry land.

それではバベルの塔については・・・聖書は
全ての地は、同じ言葉と同じ言語を用いていた。東の方から移動した人々は、シンアル[4]の地の平原に至り、そこに住みついた。そして、「さあ、煉瓦を作ろう。火で焼こう」と言い合った。彼らは石の代わりに煉瓦を、漆喰の代わりにアスファルトを用いた。そして、言った、「さあ、我々の街と塔を作ろう。塔の先が天に届くほどの。あらゆる地に散って、消え去ることのないように、我々の為に名をあげよう」。主は、人の子らが作ろうとしていた街と塔とを見ようとしてお下りになり、そして仰せられた、「なるほど、彼らは一つの民で、同じ言葉を話している。この業は彼らの行いの始まりだが、おそらくこのこともやり遂げられないこともあるまい。それなら、我々は下って、彼らの言葉を乱してやろう。彼らが互いに相手の言葉を理解できなくなるように」。主はそこから全ての地に人を散らされたので。彼らは街づくりを取りやめた。その為に、この街はバベルと名付けられた。主がそこで、全地の言葉を乱し、そこから人を全地に散らされたからである。

they used tar for mortar. 4 They said, “Come, let’s build ourselves a city, and a tower whose top reaches to the sky, and let’s make a name for ourselves,
lest we be scattered abroad on the surface of the whole earth.”
5 Yahweh came down to see the city and the tower, which the children of men built. 6 Yahweh said, “Behold, they are
one people, and they all have one language, and this is what they begin to do. Now nothing will be withheld from them, which they intend to do. 7 Come,
let’s go down, and there confuse their language, that they may not understand one another’s speech.” 8 So Yahweh scattered them abroad from there on the
surface of all the earth. They stopped building the city. 9 Therefore its name was called Babel, because there Yahweh confused the language of all the
earth. From there, Yahweh scattered them abroad on the surface of all the earth.

旧約聖書創世記 11：1 ～ 9 バベルの塔
11 1世界中は同じ言葉を使って、同じように話していた。2東の方から移動してきた人々は、シンアルの地に平和を見つけ、そこの住み着いた。3彼らは、「れんがを作り。それをよく焼こう」と話し合った。石の代わりにれんがを、しっくいのわ代わりアスファルトを用いた。4彼らは「さあ、天まで届く塔のある町を建て、有名になろう。そして、全地に散らされることのないようにしよう」と言った。5主は降って来て、人の子らが建てた、塔のあるこの町を見て6言われた。
「彼らは一つの民で、皆一つの言葉を話しているから、このようなことをし始めたのだ。これでは。彼らが何を企てても、妨げることはできない。7我々は降って行って、直ちに彼れの言葉を混乱させ、互いの言葉が聞き分けられぬようにしてしまおう。」
8主は彼らをそこから全地に散らされたので、彼らはこの町の建設をやめた9こういうわけで、この町の名はバベルと呼ばれた。主がそこで全地の言葉を混乱（バラル）させ、また、主がそこから彼らを全地に散らされたからである。
今年２０１７年６月の兵庫県立美術館でのこの展覧会はヒエロニムス・ボスの作品も多くて変わった画だったが今度のバベル展はオランダの画家でったがベルギーのボスの画も同時に展示されていて興味深かった。
ブリューゲルもボスもびっくりするぐらいのち密な細かい画で、同時に展示された拡大図を見て感心した。
10月には大阪天王寺のハルカス美術館で北斎の大規模な展覧会が予定されているが是非見に行きたい。
中之島の「バベル展」見学の帰り道で長岡さんとも話したもので、帰り道は新世界に寄り道したい。
去年2014年2月の寒い時に見た展覧会も良かったし、帰り道で食べたミナミの黒門のふぐ太政も美味かった
９月に入ってもまだ咲くハイビスカス。まだまだ暑いので咲き続けれるだろうか？
夏も終わり、我が家のハイビスカス はまだまだ元気だ
